UAE E-Invoicing for TallyPrime & Tally.ERP 9

TrustBill connects your Tally company data to the UAE FTA e-invoicing network. Whether you run TallyPrime or Tally.ERP 9, we convert invoices to PINT-AE XML and submit them through an accredited ASPβ€”so you keep your existing ERP and stay compliant.

How TrustBill integrates with Tally

Tally has added UAE-specific fields for e-invoicingβ€”such as City, TIN, PEPPOL details, Digital Location and Free Zone Numberβ€”but transmitting a PINT-AE XML invoice to the FTA still requires an Accredited Service Provider (ASP). Standard Tally.ERP 9 and older TallyPrime releases cannot generate PINT-AE XML on their own; they need an ASP connector or a TDL extension.

TrustBill's Tally connector closes that gap. A lightweight desktop folder agent or TDL add-on reads invoice data from your Tally company, converts it to FTA-compliant PINT-AE XML, validates it, and submits it through our FTA-listed ASP. If you already use TallyPrime Release 7.1 with Tally's native ASP option, TrustBill can also act as a complementary channel for specific divisions, branches, or fallback submission workflows.

One-time setup guide

Getting Tally ready for UAE e-invoicing takes a few minutes:

1. **Create your TrustBill account** β€” Sign up for free and add your TRN. 2. **Choose your connector** β€” Download the TrustBill folder agent for Tally.ERP 9, or install the TrustBill TDL extension for TallyPrime. 3. **Map your masters** β€” Align ledgers, stock items, UoM, party TRN/TIN, city, free-zone flag, and VAT rates with FTA requirements. 4. **Set the export folder** β€” Point Tally to export invoices to a secure local folder, or let the TDL push transactions automatically. 5. **Test and go live** β€” Create a test sales voucher, watch TrustBill convert it to PINT-AE XML, and submit it to the FTA sandbox.

After setup, the agent runs in the background. New invoices are picked up, converted, and submitted automatically.

PINT-AE compliance for Tally invoices

PINT-AE is the UAE's national e-invoicing standard. TrustBill converts Tally voucher data into the required XML structure and checks every mandatory field before submission.

The conversion covers invoice UUID, issue date, seller and buyer TRN/TIN, line-item details, VAT rates and tax amounts, UQC mapping, allowance and charge reasons, free-zone indicators, and digital location fields. TallyPrime Release 7.1 exposes most of these fields in the company, party, item, and voucher masters; TrustBill enriches and validates the exported data so it passes FTA technical checks.

Key features for Tally users

TrustBill's Tally integration is built for the Indian and South-Asian trading community in the UAE:

- **Folder agent or TDL connector** β€” Works with both TallyPrime and Tally.ERP 9 without replacing your accounting software. - **PINT-AE XML generation** β€” Native Tally data is transformed to the UAE-standard XML format. - **Master validation** β€” Bulk-update TRN, TIN, UQC, city, free-zone, and VAT details before go-live. - **Error handling** β€” Rejected invoices are flagged with the FTA rejection reason and a suggested fix. - **Status tracking** β€” Monitor pending, submitted, accepted, and rejected invoices from one dashboard. - **VAT 201 integration** β€” Submitted e-invoices feed into your VAT 201 return draft automatically. - **Multi-company support** β€” One TrustBill account can manage several Tally companies under the same EmaraTax login. - **UAE data residency** β€” Invoice data is encrypted in transit and at rest and stays in the UAE region. - **2026-2027 mandate timeline** β€” Large businesses must comply from 1 January 2027; SMEs from 1 July 2027. TallyPrime 7.1 is available now to prepare.

Data security and on-prem control

TrustBill uses read-only access to Tally invoice data. We do not modify your company file, ledgers, stock items, or vouchers. The folder agent runs on your own Windows PC or server; the source Tally data remains local unless you choose to export it.

All traffic between the agent and TrustBill uses TLS 1.3, and exported invoice data is encrypted at rest. Your Tally credentials and EmaraTax passwords are never stored by TrustBill. Data is processed in the UAE to meet residency expectations for FTA e-invoicing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Tally ready for UAE e-invoicing?

Tally has prepared for the mandate by adding UAE e-invoicing fields and by listing Tally Software Solutions as an MoF-accredited ASP. TallyPrime Release 7.1 includes native e-invoicing onboarding for the UAE. However, Tally.ERP 9 and older TallyPrime versions cannot generate or transmit PINT-AE XML without an ASP connector or TDL extension. TrustBill provides that connector.

What is the difference between TallyPrime and Tally.ERP 9 for UAE e-invoicing?

TallyPrime Release 7.1 and later include UAE e-invoicing fields, e-invoice reports, and the option to select Tally as your ASP directly inside the product. Tally.ERP 9 does not include these UAE-specific fields or native ASP connectivity, so it needs a TDL extension or a folder-based export connector such as TrustBill to create PINT-AE XML and submit to the FTA.

How does the Tally export setup work with TrustBill?

You can use a desktop folder agent: Tally exports invoice data to a secure local folder and TrustBill watches that folder, converts the data to PINT-AE XML, and submits it. Alternatively, install the TrustBill TDL in TallyPrime to push vouchers automatically. Both methods are read-only and do not change your Tally company data.

Is my Tally invoice data secure?

Yes. The TrustBill connector only reads invoice data needed for PINT-AE conversion. It cannot create, edit, or delete vouchers. Traffic is protected with TLS 1.3, data is encrypted at rest, and processing stays in the UAE. Your Tally company file and login credentials never leave your environment unless you explicitly export them.

Can Indian businesses in the UAE use Tally for e-invoicing?

Tally is extremely popular with the Indian and South-Asian trading community in the UAE. You can currently use an Indian TallyPrime license for UAE e-invoicing registration, but Tally recommends upgrading to an International TallyPrime license for uninterrupted service. For Tally.ERP 9 users, TrustBill adds the missing UAE e-invoicing layer, including TRN, TIN, PEPPOL ID, UQC, and free-zone fields.
